Anglican Church of the Trinity
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Our Name
We have chosen to name this church after the Trinity. The term "Trinity" best captures the essence of
the Christian understanding of the relational nature of divine being and reality. We worship a God who
is an infinitely intimate community of three divine persons so bound together by mutually self-giving
love as to be One God. We recognize and celebrate that our lives and the existence of the universe
itself are continually upheld by the creative love flowing from this eternal fellowship of Father, Son
and Holy Spirit. As people created in the image of the Trinity, we recognize that we, too, are inherently
relational and as such our fulfillment and significance derive from the authenticity of our relationships
with one another and most importantly with the One who created us and calls us to participate in the
divine Community.
