Rev. Don Swanson began his service to the Episcopal Church as a Lay Minister. Later, he was ordained as a Deacon, and then as a Priest, serving churches in the Twin Cities and Hudson. He received his Bachelor's in Music Education at the University of Minnesota, his M.Div and PhD in Theology & Liturgy at St. Alcuin House Seminary, and an Honorary Doctor of Letters also from St. Alcuin's. Although now retired, "Fr. Don" continues to be very active as a Chaplain in the US Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol), as a Military Chaplain to seven veterans' groups, and as a Chaplain at local retirement homes including Augustana Home and Presbyterian Homes. He is affiliated with the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA), which is a founding member of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). |
